Heath Taylor Trainees Qualify for Stakes
 
DIAMOND TRES SEIS tops Texas Challenge Qualifiers as he is the fastest qualifier Bank of America Challenge/Texas
 
Mercy and Ray Hinklin's Diamond Tres Seis (pictured above) got up in the final stride to beat Jess My Moon and capture the fastest qualifying time for the $107,550 Bank of America Texas Challenge Championship(G1) on Saturday afternoon at Sam Houston Race Park.
 
The ten top qualifiers will return on July 11th to contest the 440 yards final and try to earn a berth in the $350,000 Bank of American Challenge Championship(G1) at Los Alamitos Race Course on October 1, 2009.
 
Saddled by Heath Taylor and ridden by Gilbert Ortiz, Diamond Tres Seis covered the distance in :21.529 earning a 100 speed index. The stakes winner of more than $250,000 was making just his second start this season.
 
The 5-year-old bay gelding is by Tres Seis and was bred by Double Bar S Ranch, LLC.

(F, Special Leader-Dashadee by Mr Jess Perry) TF MS SPECIAL PERRY, a filly by Special Leader out of the Mr Jess Perry mare, Dashadee will run in the upcoming Firecracker Futurity G2 at Delta Downs. The finals are set for July 4. Jockey Gilbert Ortiz qualified the filly with a time of :17.845 to the $100,000 added race. She is owned by Steve Tate. Congrats!

MAJESTIC CREST, a three-year-old gelding by Shazoom out of the Dash Ta Fame mare, Follys Dash qualifies to the Fort Dodge Starter Allowance Challenge.
