Trained by Heath Taylor, Jess Zoomin broke his maiden by one length in his first start at Remington Park. In his second out he set a new 350 yard track record (:17.32) while becoming the fastest qualifier from 138 head in the trials to the $1.1 million Heritage Place Futurity(G1). He finished second by a head in the final to eventual world champion Stolis Winner.
His next start was a four length trial victory to the $2 million All American Futurity(G1). After a bumpy start in the final he recovered to finish a game third.
After qualifying to the Dash For Cash Derby(G1) in his first out of 2010, he posted the fastest qualifying time for the $342,431 Texas Classic Derby(G1). He finished second to Stolis Winner in the final.
His final start came on December 26th where he finished third in the $350,000 Championship at Sunland Park(G1) to First Moonflash while defeating champions Stolis Winner, Noconi, etc.
As sires, Magic Dozen, First Place Dash and Streakin Sixes have combined progeny earnings of more than $7.3 million.
His second dam is the champion 2-year-old filly Indigo Illusion ($867,414), winner of the Rainbow Derby(G1), Vessels Maturity(G1), Las Ninas Handicap(G3), Special Effort-Faberge Futurity, etc. The daughter of *Beduino-TB set three track records while racing and has produced 13 ROM runners.
