Heath Taylor
Quarter Horse Racing Trainer

The secret of one of today’s most successful quarter horse racing stables lies in the winning combination of what no man shall put asunder.

Heath and Tracy Taylor, the husband and wife team of Taylor Racing Stables, may be relative newcomers in the history of quarter horse racing, but they have made their presence known. They represent a new breed of trainers who embrace contemporary ideas while relying on fundamental horsemanship skills. The proof of this winning combination is in the statistics:

Last year, Taylor-trained horses surpassed the 1,000th win mark and boosted Heath to 5th All-Time Leading Trainer of stakes wins.

This year to-date, Heath is 2nd in money earned, as well as 2nd in number of races won.*

Heath graduated high school with Honors and then attended The University of Louisville. After earning a degree in Equine Administration from the University of Louisville, he served as the Director of Racing for the Texas Quarter Horse Association. Highly competitive in nature, Heath is hands-on with his horses every day, and takes personal interest in every one of the approximately 180 horses in his care.

If Heath is the heart of the operation, then his wife Tracy is the soul. She runs the day-to-day aspects of the business and comes by her horsemanship naturally. Growing up in a racing family, Tracy helped her father, Bruce Bell, break "Femmes Frolic" as a yearling, along with many $100,000 winners. (Bell was also the trainer of champion "Deceptively".)

Most clients of the Taylor’s would attest to the fact that what sets them apart is that every horse in their care gets individual attention and hands-on care from the Taylors. Their combination of passion and a take-no-prisoners attitude has not only resulted in an exceptional number of wins, but in horses who appear to enjoy their work.

Heath Taylor believes so strongly in the benefit of using FLAIR Nasal Strips that he simply won’t allow his horses to race without one. Watch for these horses the next time you’re at the track:
